Gov. Greg Abbott is taking aim at Islamic foot-washing facilities at Texas airports, calling both proposed and existing stations "illegal and unconstitutional." Abbott argued that government-owned airports cannot single out one religious group for special treatment and urged federal and local authorities to shut them down. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport told Fox News Digital it decided not to go forward with the washing stations in its international terminal after speeding up the review due to "elevated public interest." Abbott ordered a review of state grants to both DFW and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston over the "illegal" plans.
