LiveNOW’s Shawna Khalafi is speaking with law enforcement expert, Jamie Copenhaver, as Sunday marks the 15th day in the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie. This comes after Friday night when three people were reportedly detained, but Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News on Feb. 14 that no one was arrested, and no one is currently in custody. Five days ago, the FBI released recovered Nest camera footage from Guthrie's home in Southern Arizona, showing a masked man approaching Nancy Guthrie’s front door before trying to cover the camera with leaves.

LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is speaking with Former NYPD Detective Michael Alcazar as the disappearance and search for Nancy Guthrie enters another new week. Investigators and local officials on the scene continue to search for the 84-year-old across Southern Arizona. This comes as an FBI spokesperson told Fox News on Sunday that out of several gloves recovered during the search for Guthrie, one appears to match the gloves of the suspect seen on surveillance footage. Early reports are telling us that officials are currently conducting tests to confirm a DNA match.

Nancy is the mother of 'Today' show co-host Savannah Guthrie. A few days ago, the FBI released recovered Nest camera footage from Guthrie's Catalina Foothills home, showing a masked man approaching her front door before trying to cover the camera with leaves. Reports indicate that at this time, investigators are waiting for final lab results before uploading the DNA profile to a national database to possibly identify the individual.

در بخش دیگری از گفت‌وگو، واقعیت آماری مخاطبان شبکه‌های ماهواره‌ای بررسی می‌شود؛ جایی که برخلاف تصور عمومی، بسیاری از شبکه‌ها در بهترین حالت تنها ده‌ها هزار بیننده روزانه دارند و فقط تعداد محدودی از شبکه‌های بزرگ توان جذب میلیون‌ها مخاطب را دارند. توضیح داده می‌شود که آمارهای سالانه یا میلیونی لزوماً به معنای مخاطب همزمان نیست و یک بیننده تکراری می‌تواند بارها در این آمارها محاسبه شود. همین مسئله نشان می‌دهد فاصله میان تصویر ذهنی مدیران شبکه‌ها از میزان نفوذشان با واقعیت بسیار زیاد است.

گفت‌وگو همچنین به تغییر مدل فعالیت رسانه‌ها در عصر اینترنت می‌پردازد؛ جایی که برخی شبکه‌ها حتی بدون استودیو و با تیم‌های پراکنده، از داخل یا خارج ایران محتوا تولید و از طریق سرورهای خارجی پخش می‌کنند. با ظهور ابزارهایی مانند استارلینک، برخی رسانه‌ها حتی برای سناریوی قطع اینترنت نیز آماده شده‌اند تا پخش خود را متوقف نکنند. این موضوع نشان می‌دهد جنگ رسانه‌ای فارسی‌زبان وارد مرحله‌ای جدید شده که در آن انعطاف‌پذیری فنی نقش مهمی در بقا دارد.

در نهایت، جمع‌بندی گفت‌وگو تصویری واقع‌گرایانه از فضای شبکه‌های ماهواره‌ای فارسی‌زبان ارائه می‌دهد: بازاری پررقابت، پرهزینه و در عین حال پر از رویاهای بزرگ. بازاری که در آن بسیاری با امید جذب سرمایه‌گذار یا مخاطب میلیونی وارد می‌شوند، اما تنها تعداد محدودی موفق می‌شوند به بازیگران اصلی تبدیل شوند. این گفت‌وگو نشان می‌دهد که ماهواره هنوز برای مخاطب ایرانی در بزنگاه‌های سیاسی و امنیتی اهمیت استراتژیک دارد، اما پشت صحنه این رسانه‌ها، بیش از آنکه پر زرق‌وبرق باشد، مملو از چالش‌های مالی، رقابت‌های پنهان و معادلات پیچیده سیاسی است.
