Insurance companies refuse to issue travel policies for Crimea at any price. And now mobilization has turned the peninsula into a literal trap — men living there have nowhere to flee, because the bridge is monitored, the ferry is limited, and the northern border is the front line. Retired US Army General Ben Hodges has laid out exactly how this ends — not through invasion, but through strangulation. Three simultaneous phases: isolation, degradation, economic collapse. Putin built a fortress. Ukraine turned it into a cage.

At 3:45 a.m., Ukrainian UAV crews prepared a long-range strike from secret launch sites near Odessa. Their target was Saky Air Base in Crimea — one of Russia’s most important air bases for Su-24 bombers, Su-30 fighters, fuel storage, air defense coordination, and operations across the Black Sea.

In this video, we break down how Ukraine used AN-196 Liutyi UAVs to challenge Russia’s layered air defense network, including S-400, Buk-M3, Pole-21, Krasukha-4, and 2S38 Derivatsiya systems. Flying low over the Black Sea, the UAVs exploited the radar horizon, forced Russian operators into split-second decisions, and pushed the entire defensive system into overload.

The attack did not only target aircraft on the ground. It also struck fuel depots, support vehicles, radar systems, communications links, and the airport operations building — turning Saky from a protected air base into a burning and disorganized battlefield.

This strike showed that Crimea is no longer the untouchable fortress Moscow once believed it to be. With enough timing, pressure, and swarm tactics, Ukraine proved that even heavily defended Russian bases can be disrupted, damaged, and paralyzed.
