Alex Welz, senior research associate on the Middle East and North Africa at the Heritage Foundation, joined NTD's Steve Lance.
Welz discussed the Iran-backed Houthis' motives in targeting civilians in a series of attacks on Saudi Arabian airports that left at least 14 people, including one American citizen, dead.
He also discussed how Iran, with a degraded economy, can continue supporting the Houthis, and Turkey and Pakistan's agreement to start deterrence measures to support Saudi Arabia. Welz also discussed how the two countries could shape their response to the Houthis based on their mediation of talks between the United States and Iran.
