This is my signature one-take, no-cuts video – starting from the very beginning and running almost to the end, capturing the raw energy, passion, and voices of real people standing together.I was in a sea of moving people and flags, pushing through the dense crowd where at times it literally felt like I was going backwards against the flow! I walked as far as I could, focusing on filming as many signs as possible to amplify every voice and message that needed to be heard.This is what mainstream media often doesn’t cover: authentic voices, heartfelt demands for freedom, justice, and human rights in Iran – and return of Pahlavi straight from the hundreds of thousands who showed up.If you were there, I hope I captured you or your sign. Thousands of Iranian-Canadians took to the streets of Toronto in a massive rally supporting anti-government protests in Iran. Marchers carried flags and banners, voicing solidarity with Iranians inside the country and calling for an end to the mullahs’ rule. The event, part of a Global Day of Action with simultaneous protests in Munich, Los Angeles, and other cities, also celebrated the leadership of exiled opposition figure Reza Pahlavi. Protesters declared, “Our body is here, our soul is there,” and demanded the eradication of the regime’s oppressive ideology.
