Ukraine delivered what Greg calls a fantastic night of long-range strikes, while Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk issued one of his strongest warnings yet about Russia, European security, and Poland’s rapidly growing military power.

Russia claimed it intercepted 598 Ukrainian drones across 19 regions, Crimea, and surrounding seas—a figure that remains an unverified Russian claim. Ukraine also reported a major strike involving the Flamingo FP-5 against the TsSKB Progress facility in Samara, a strategically important center connected to Russia’s rocket and satellite industrial base. Ukraine also struck Savasleyka Air Base, home to MiG-31 aircraft associated with Kinzhal missile launches against Ukraine.

The contrast remains brutal. While Ukraine targets Russian military and industrial infrastructure, Russia continued its own barrage against Ukraine. Greg discusses reports of 152 drones overnight and the heartbreaking death of a three-month-old infant in Marhanets. With autumn approaching, Ukraine’s campaign against Russian military capabilities and Donald Tusk’s warning about the threat from Russia point toward an increasingly consequential period ahead.

So Russia just rolled out some pretty impressive new technology and it sort of worked then didn’t.
It’s a new drone defense system, the Arena M, and it sounds like it may have perfectly intercepted some Ukrainian drones flying at Russian tanks. Problem is, they were facing hundreds and the system was overwhelmed.

Ukraine’s information war is heating up alongside the battlefield. A viral claim that Ukraine destroyed a North Korean munitions train deep inside Siberia is false, while Russia’s Defense Ministry, Ukraine’s military communications team, and Fire Point trade increasingly direct warnings about what may be coming this autumn and winter.

Sergei Lavrov then makes Moscow’s position unmistakable: Russia does not intend to stop military operations along the current line of contact. He discusses Russia’s objectives, the United States, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, the Alaska negotiations, U.S. intelligence support for Ukraine, and why Moscow believes there is still no basis for ending the war.

This morning, both Latvia & Romania have been breached by drones causing NATO to scramble fighter jets to intercept. Explosions could be heard in both countries as NATO jets shot down the drones. This is currently a developing story, and a response may be imminent. Meanwhile, Ukrainian sources claim that a massive train carrying North Korean Ballistic Missiles was destroyed by Ukrainian special forces last night in a bold claim that could cause more issues for Russian frontline soldiers. We also have news that Ukraine struck and severely damaged the Crimean Baklava power plant which serves as the peninsula’s main power station and also targeted dozens of substations plunging the region into a major power blackout. And we also have news that Ukraine just conducted a large attack on Russia’s biggest Baltic Seaport at Ust-Luga as fires and smoke are seen from the facility.
